BCFC has a family advocate assigned to a very large school-based program in North?Adams. This federal program provides enrichment and community activities for families and children throughout the school system after school and evenings. The Family Support Leader provides outreach to families by referrals from the schools, and outreach on behalf of the program activities.

Berkshire County Kids? Place and Violence Prevention Center provides services to child abuse victims and their non-offending family members. The Youth Center, Inc. is a non-profit corporation focused on serving the children (ages 6 to 18) and families of Adams, Cheshire and Savoy. Its mission is to provide community-based educational, recreational and social activities in a safe, supportive environment. Youth can come on an at-will basis to an environment in which they can utilize the equipment (computer lab, pool & foosball tables, video games and lounge area with big screen TV), hang out, get homework help, or participate in special programming, all in a substance-free, equal opportunity setting.
