Lynn Jones says her supervisor told her to load the dog last month because the animal's paperwork was in order and its condition wasn't her concern.

But Jones told the Reno Gazette-Journal she couldn't put the dog on the plane to Texas because its paws were bloody and its body was covered with sores.

She says airport police shared her concerns and phoned Washoe County Regional Animal Services, which took custody of the dog. The dog nursed back to health and shipped to Texas, but it's not clear where.

Jones' former employer, St. Louis-based contractor Airport Terminal Services, didn't return phone calls.
